hey guys, dr. axe here, doctor of naturalmedicine and founder of draxe.com. today i'm going to answer your questions about helichrysumessential oil. there are many health benefits of helichrysum, as you're about to find out,and so i'm going to talk about the four main benefits. number one, helichrysum supports the brainand nerve system. number two, helichrysum reduces inflammation. number three helichrysumsupports liver detoxification, and number four helichrysum is also great for your skinand healing wounds and infection and many different conditions in that category. but let's start off talking about its abilityto support the brain and nerve system. now,
helichrysum contains unique fat soluble compoundslike acetophenones as well as terpenoids, and these compounds have been shown to reallyhelp support the nerve system. in fact, terpenoids are also found in high amounts in frankincenseessential oil. but helichrysum has some of the highest levels, and for that reason, helichrysumis the number one essential oil you can use for any type of nerve degeneration or nerveissue. so if somebody is struggling with neuro-degenerationor cognitive dysfunction, such as alzheimer's disease, doing helichrysum is a great essentialoil to use. if somebody's had a brain injury or suffered from a concussion, helichrysumis the ideal essential oil. what you'll do there is you can diffuse it around them, oryou could do, what i recommend is doing about
four drops and rubbing it on the neck andsometimes even the roof of the mouth. by doing that, you're breathing in the vapors of helichrysum, which again is great for any type of nerve issue. if you have polyneuropathy or nervedegeneration, it's also a great oil to use for that. the other thing it's great for, number two,is for reducing inflammation. in fact, a recent medical study found that using helichrysumessential oil naturally reduces blood pressure and reduces the risk of coronary issues anda heart attack. so for that reason, helichrysum essential oil, what i like to do is againdiffuse it, really breathe in those vapors, or again a few drops, rubbing it on the neckis a great thing to do for anybody with blood
pressure, anybody with high levels of stress,or anybody who's looking to improve the overall health of their heart. the number three reason you want to be usinghelichrysum is for detoxification. helichrysum supports liver detoxification, supports thebreakdown of fatty acids, supports bile production. your liver is really your body's chief organfor detoxification. every day we're exposed to things from teflon pans to radiation frommicrowaves and cell phones, to pesticides in our food supply, lead based paints, allof these things that are around us all the time, air pollution, and we really need tobe supporting our liver on a daily basis. for that reason, what i suggest is you dois taking four drops of helichrysum and rubbing
it on your left lower rib cage or right atthe very bottom of part of your rib cage. in that area that's going to support liverdetoxification. so again, helichrysum right there topically, i'm sorry the right rib cage, right there on that bottom crest is right where your liver and gallbladder lie. so you'rereally going to want to rub helichrysum on those areas. any time you're doing a detoxor a cleanse of any sort, helichrysum can support you while you're doing that detoxor cleanse. whether it's a daniel fast or a colon cleanse or a liver/gallbladder cleanse, doing helichrysum oil during that time is a wise decision. and last, but not least, helichrysum oil hasamazing benefits for your skin. whether you
have acne, whether you're trying to reducewrinkle appearance, or especially if you have scarring or sun spots or age spots, helichrysumis effective. helichrysum, again if you have sun spots or age spots, what my wife and ido, both, is the moisturizer we use at night, we take three drops of helichrysum oil andput that on our faces as part of our natural skin care routine. i've had patients who started helichrysumoil and saw great results with wrinkles, but especially with getting rid of age spots, sun spots, or discolored skin. the reason for that is helichrysum has large amountsof again of terpenoids and acetophenones, as well as other antioxidants that are fatsoluble, which help even out skin tone and
again have even been shown to help heal scarring.especially if you have acne or acne scarring, doing helichrysum topically is a great idea. so again, add in helichrysum to your dailyroutine, whether it be for reducing inflammation, detoxification, supporting your brain andnerve system, or having healthy glowing skin, helichrysum oil is an oil you'll want to checkout. and if you want to learn more about helichrysumoil, make sure to check out my article that goes in great detail on it, on my website,draxe.com. that's draxe.com. hey, don't forget to subscribe here. i've got more great informationon super herbs as well as essential oils and their many health benefits. thanks guys.
